Do you care if your race vanishes in the near future and why?

I dont because in 30,000 years the Americas will have the same skin tone as Native Americans only the variation of facial features eye hair colours & textures technically black white Asian people etc will exist in facial features but skin tones will all be the same but the most favorable traits will be most dominant what ever they are. In Europe also where deaths outnumber births currently and with the babby boom generation to die the white population will dramatically decline being replaced by mass immigration from densely populated regions of Asia & Africa but also in 30,000 years they will all have white peoples skin tone yet diverse variation in physical traits.
I dont see the problem with it then as all these races will never disappears as long as the Earth is a sphere it will always vary in uv-rays geographically.
I dont see why people care they will be dead anyways pluss your genes are still being passed down

Not really. I’m not gonna be alive when it happens and I dont believe in karma either. so when I’m done with this life that’s it

I don’t really care because I’ve always thought of race as a fluid concept that’s never been an essential aspect of how I viewed myself. My personal ethnic background is a mixture of white european ancestries that’s sufficiently diluted that I don’t identify with any one in particular.

In terms of how I’ve built my personal self definition, I’m more likely to think about my hometown, religion, education, family, physical build, personality, economic situation, age, marital statute, etc. before I think about race.

Actually, I doubt it will work out that way. In 50 years or less, we will have figured out how to tinker with our genetic code, and people will start designing their kids to look a lot different than we do now. Taller, blonder, stronger, faster, smarter, cuter, you name it. In 100 years, a person without some sort of genetic tinkering done may be as unusual as a nearsighted person today who doesn’t wear contacts or glasses.

I don’t want race to vanish. I like diversity.

And we haven’t the slightest clue what will happen in 30,000 years. You are only considering current demographic trends, and I can guanrantee you they will not apply 30,000 years down the road..

At the risk of sounding prejudice – I think variety is wonderful. If we were all black or white or brown or purple, how boring would that be? I mean if all roses were red…or all birds were yellow…or all fruit were apples…or all cars were toyotas…or all of us wore white suits, with blue, one-inch heel shoes, had orange hair and were 5 feet tall … and all the same sex…I wouldn’t want to live in such a boring world. Variety is the spice of life-right across the board.

I am not so sure all race is going to be completely eradicated…there are always going to be people devoted to maintaining their native bloodline.

don’t care…what you don’t know can’t hurt you…for ex. some parts of africa were colonized by france and as a result, the language in that area was lost; replaced with french…cameroon for one. over time…the people of cameroon speak french as if it has always been their own…i don’t kill’em…

If you know anything at all about science.
I’m sure you heard that people can now choose the sex of their baby.
Did you know that they can also choose their baby’s hair color and eye color?
Being able to choose skin color will be next.

That’s an interesting question. I have mixed race children so obviously I’m not that bothered about passing on my blond hair, blue eyed genes. Also if we were all the same tone there would be no room for racism, but there would always be some form of domination (gender, social class, nationality, religeon, etc) and this would still create inequalities. Inequalities of power have always been part of our humanity, before racism came about.

I personally think it would be a shame if we all looked the same and dressed the same. I like the diversity we have in the world, I like the contrast between an Aboriginal Australian and a Norwegian. It makes the world a more intesting place.
