Women’s Hair Loss – Tips You Can Use Today To Help Prevent It

Posted by | Hair care | Tuesday 7 September 2010 12:37 am

Can women’s hair loss actually be prevented by the right hair care? This is no one answer to this that applies to everyone. It doesn’t always work. The fact is, proper hair care won’t prevent hair loss if you are genetically inclined in this direction. Yet it does help you maintain the health of your remaining hair, and this is important as well. In many cases, hair loss can be prevented or managed by taking good care of your hair and scalp. The fact is, regardless of your particular circumstances, you aren’t keen on losing your hair. We will now look at some of the most effective ways to keep your hair as healthy as possible.

Always do your best to dry your hair because it’s fragile when wet. If you ever wring water from your hair, you’re inadvertantly damaging your hair – so it’s important to avoid doing that. This is aimed more at those whose hair is longer, and it is a convenience but you’re causing damage. Obviously, you don’t want broken hairs but that’s what you’ll be causing. Another possibility is you will be weakening your hair follicles while at the same time pulling out hair. So what you want to do is use a towel to pat-down your hair, or gently squeeze the water out. After that, just let it air dry. You never want to do anything to help any possible hair loss.

You’ll can cause unnecessary stress by using different kinds and brands of shampoo and other hair products. It is understandable to change shampoos for whatever reasons. Believe it or not but it can cause stress to your hair, plus your scalp, for many different reasons.
Your hair will respond better in terms of health by staying with a brand that works well for you. Use the ones that work and get rid of the ones that don’t. Keep the frequency for changing to more than a few months. If you change to another brand in less time you’ll just be causing a lot of stress to your hair and scalp.

You know what kind of hair you have, so use a shampoo that’s suitable for it. You may want to see a stylist for help with this. Whatever hair type you have, a stylist will be able to tell you what you really should be using. Finer hair can easily be weighed down by very heavy shampoos. If your hair is oily, then do avoid using a conditioner. These and more facts are best gotten from your hair stylist.

It can be a little tricky when trying to stop hair loss. Some women are just inclined to experience it.

The best thing to do is not give up, and always try to find alternatives and options. Yes, hair care that is done right can very often spell the difference between the quality of hair and amount of it. The best way to prevent women’s hair loss is to make sure that your hair and your scalp are as healthy as they can possibly be. Knowing about healthy hair is vital, but actually taking action on these tips is even more important.

I have curly, long hair (i.e. Marc Bolan), but I think I’m mistreating it. How should I care for it?

Posted by | Hair care | Sunday 5 September 2010 12:40 am

It’s past my ears, almost to my neck. If I brush it, I brush it while wet (in the shower and while drying). Large amounts of it often come out when I brush; so much so that it’s thin in some places (on top, in front) where I brush really hard. But if I don’t brush, won’t it tangle up and not grow as quickly?

I’ve had trouble with it for a while now. At first, I thought I was going bald (!), but I realized it got really thin only after I constantly ran my fingers through it during the day, breaking apart the curls.

So how should I care for it? I don’t know ANYONE with similar hair or an idea of what to do. . .

(By the way, I use an all-natural hemp shampoo and “Mane N’ Tail” conditioner to form it into frizz-free curls. )

Thanks!!! :D

How do you take care of your hair when you put extensions in?

Posted by | Hair care | Sunday 5 September 2010 12:39 am

I usually plait them in whenever I have to go to school, but It’s starting to really thin my hair and damage it badly. I don’t know how to deal with the dry ends and I know you’re not to wash hair everyday when you’ve got extensions in, but I don’t know how to deal with it anymore.
I used to relax my hair alot in between the times when I took the extensions out because I wanted long hair, but I don’t do that anymore.
